    Senior Al Regnier achieved a milestone in his high school wrestling career. During Saturday’s SEC Tournament he hit his 100th victory versus Skyline. The Bedford Wrestling family, fans, and Spirit Club congratulate Al on this amazing accomplishment.

    Bedford Wins SEC League Tournament and Title

    Bedford Wrestlers came in first Saturday at the SEC League Tournament out scoring Tecumseh and clinching the overall SEC Title.     Varsity to DCC and JV Hosts Bedford Tournament

    A LOT of wrestling is on tap for this Saturday! Bedford Varsity travels to the Detroit Catholic Central Super Dual Tournament. The team meets at 5:45 a.m. at BHS to LEAVE by 6 a.m. Weigh ins are at 8 a.m. so we MUST leave on time. Especially since there is a little snow on the ground. Wrestling begins at 10 a.m.

    JV/B Team have a busy day as well Bedford hosts the Bedford JV Tournament. Wrestling begins at 9:00 a.m.  JV parents it is VERY important that you bring TWO of the food items that you are assigned. One will be in the cafeteria for the team. The other will go upstairs on the shelf for the coaches and refs. THIS IS IMPORTANT. Please check on both food tables periodically so it stays neat and stocked.

    Bryan Smith Achieves 100th

    Senior Bryan Smith achieved a milestone in his high school wrestling career. During Wednesday night’s dual he hit 99 and then 100 victories!

    Bedford Dominates Ypsilanti Lincoln Quad

    Bedford took on Ypsilanti Lincoln first during Wednesday night’s quad. Mules beat the Railsplitters 71 to 6. Up next the Mules took on Pioneer and ended the night with a shut out. Final score 72 to 0.

    Ypsilanti Lincoln Quad Wednesday

    Bedford travels to Ypsilanti Lincoln high School to take on Ypsi and Ann Arbor Pioneer. Wrestling begins at 5:30. Wrestlers – as always a bag lunch will be provided to you after weigh in courtesy of Bedford Wrestling Spirit Club. See you there!

    Mules Win Sheriff’s Tournament


    The Kicking Mules captured the title at the Monroe Sheriff’s tournament on Saturday. The Mules racked up 291.5 points to win the First Place Trophy. Dundee came in second with 267.5, Ida took 3rd with 169.5, New Boston Huron took 4th at 163.5 points and Monroe came in 5th with 153.5.

    The Mules had 8 wrestlers in the finals with Mitchel Rogaliner, Mitch Pawlak, Brandon Sunday, Bryan Smith, and Logan Rimmer emerging as champions. Tyler Rogaliner, Nate Stevens, and Jon Prajzner took second. (That’s EIGHT in the finals if you’re counting.) Taking third were Trent Turshon and David Lijewski. Fourth places were earned by Al Regnier, Ben Beallas, and Bryce Davis. Jacob Lohr took fifth.

    Congratulations MULES!! It was a great day.

    JV Wins Southgate Anderson JV Classic

    Congratulations to the Kicking Mule Junior Varsity. They traveled to Southgate Anderson and brought home the hardware!  The Mules won the tournament with 231 points. Lincoln Park came in second at 191 points and Melvindale took third with 171.

    Mule Champions were Cam Fornwald, Jacob Helminski, Tim Winkelman, Chaise Boehmer, Ethan Crawford, Dallas Winkelman, Codie Bettencourt and Adam Ortman! (That’s eight champions if  you’re counting!) Ryan Cannon took second. Trent Allison, Jordan Snyder and Dakotah Hudson all took third. Jacob Raker took fifth.

    AWESOME!

    Important Weekend Details

    Friday – This week’s team dinner is at 6:30 at the Rimmers. Please bring a two liter of pop.

    Saturday – The varsity is headed to the Sheriff’s Tournament. The tournament is at Monroe Jefferson High School and wrestling begins at 10 a.m. Families report to Bedford High School at 8 a.m.

    ATTENTION JUNIOR VARSITY – THIS IS A SCHEDULE ADDITION!! JV is headed to Southgate Anderson on Saturday. Report to school at 6:45 a.m. Wrestling for the Southgate JV – B Team Classic. JV parents please use the food table schedule for Sheriff’s for what to bring. Look at your son’s weight class for your assignment.
