Al Regnier Achieves 100th

Senior Al Regnier achieved a milestone in his high school wrestling career. During Saturday’s SEC Tournament he hit his 100th victory versus Skyline.

The Bedford Wrestling family, fans, and Spirit Club congratulate Al on this amazing accomplishment.

Dundee Duals Results


It was an exciting day of wrestling at the Wittibslager Challenge in Dundee. Dundee hosted Bedford, Davison, and Greenville.  Bedford lost to Davison 37 – 29 to start the day but rallied back strong against Greenville 63 to 16. The last match of the day was against, county rival, the Dundee Vikings. It was a back and forth brawl with Bedford coming out on top by a score of 34 to 22.

Going undefeated for the day were Mitchel Rogaliner, Mitch Pawlak, Al Regnier, Brandon Sunday, Bryan Smith, and Logan Rimmer. All six will be on the All Wittibslager Team.

DCC Super Dual Results

Bedford goes two and two at DCC Super Duals.

DCC 52 – Bedford 17
Bedford 48 – Clarktson 12
St. John’s 56 –  Bedford 18
Bedford 30 – Richmond 26

Here’s a favorite moment of the day. After being down 26 to 5 Bedford rattles off six straight wins to beat defending D3 State Champion, Richmond, 30 to 26.  Watch the video…

Mules Win Sheriff’s Tournament


The Kicking Mules captured the title at the Monroe Sheriff’s tournament on Saturday. The Mules racked up 291.5 points to win the First Place Trophy. Dundee came in second with 267.5, Ida took 3rd with 169.5, New Boston Huron took 4th at 163.5 points and Monroe came in 5th with 153.5.

The Mules had 8 wrestlers in the finals with Mitchel Rogaliner, Mitch Pawlak, Brandon Sunday, Bryan Smith, and Logan Rimmer emerging as champions. Tyler Rogaliner, Nate Stevens, and Jon Prajzner took second. (That’s EIGHT in the finals if you’re counting.) Taking third were Trent Turshon and David Lijewski. Fourth places were earned by Al Regnier, Ben Beallas, and Bryce Davis. Jacob Lohr took fifth.

Congratulations MULES!! It was a great day.

Nine to Regionals

Nine Kicking Mules are headed to the Individual Regionals this Saturday at Saline High School. Good luck to Mitchel Rogaliner, Al Regnier, Nate Stevens, Bryan Gibbs, Chaz Hudson, Jonathan Prajzner, Brandon Sunday, Bryan Smith, and Logan Rimmer.   If your son is one of The Nine going this weekend you should have received an email about what foods to bring. If you have a question email bedfordwrestling@gmail.com.

Nine Mules Advance

 

It was an amazing day of wrestling Saturday as Bedford hosted the Individual Wrestling District Tournament. The sixteen man bracket was stacked with the best wrestlers in the district. Each wrestler vied for a place in the top four because only the top four advance to Individual Regionals on the road to states and The Palace of Auburn Hills.

Today nine Kicking Mules showed grit and came out on top.  Champions for the day were senior Brian Gibbs and sophomores Mitchel Rogaliner and Brandon Sunday. Coming in second were senior Chaz Hudson and juniors Logan Rimmer and Al Regnier. Placing third was Junior Bryan Smith. In fourth were juniors Nate Stevens and Jonathan Prajzner.

Congratulations Mules. Good Luck at Team Regionals this WEDNESDAY and on your Road to the Palace.

Every Mule at Lansing Eastern Places!

The Varsity Wrestling team opened the season at the Lansing Eastern Don Johnson Invitational. 13 of the 13 Mules who wrestled placed. The team came in second overall with St. John’s edging Bedford out for the top spot of the 16 team tournament.

 Senior Brian Gibbs led the team as champion at 140 pounds. Mitch Rogaliner (103), Mason Allison (125), Brandon Sunday (189), and Logan Rimmer (285) all took second.  Allison knocked out a Lake Fenton wrestler ranked second in the state!  Al Regnier (135), Chaz Hudson (160) and Bryan Smith (215) took third. Mitch Pawlak (112) took fourth. Bryce Davis (119), Nate Stevens (145), and John Prajzner (171) came in fifth, and Ethan Crawford (152) brought home sixth place.
