Dundee Duals Results


It was an exciting day of wrestling at the Wittibslager Challenge in Dundee. Dundee hosted Bedford, Davison, and Greenville.  Bedford lost to Davison 37 – 29 to start the day but rallied back strong against Greenville 63 to 16. The last match of the day was against, county rival, the Dundee Vikings. It was a back and forth brawl with Bedford coming out on top by a score of 34 to 22.

Going undefeated for the day were Mitchel Rogaliner, Mitch Pawlak, Al Regnier, Brandon Sunday, Bryan Smith, and Logan Rimmer. All six will be on the All Wittibslager Team.

Bedford Dominates

That was the headline in the Monroe Evening News so we thought we’d copy it. Bedford shut out Skyline with pins or voids up and down the entire line-up. Bedford 84 – Skyline 0. Onward to Ypsilanti where the Mules beat the Phoenix 75 to 3. Pinning twice were Michel Rogaliner, Ben Beallas, Jon Prajzner, Brandon Sunday, Bryan Smith, and Logan Rimmer. Great job guys!

JV Takes Fourth at Lincoln Tournament

Great performances by the Bedford B Team/JV squad at the Lincoln Park Tournament. This is a varsity tournament and our Mules took 4th!

Adam Ortman and Cam Fornwald were champions! Codie Bettencourt took second.  Jacob Helminski and Dallas Winkelman took third. Trent Allison, Dakotah Hudson, and Ryan Prill were fourth.   Jordan Snyder took 5th.  Jake Raker, Richard Clemens, and Ryan Cannon took 6th.  Anthony Soster took 8th.

Bedford Takes Second at Holt Tournament – 12 Placers!

The Kicking Mules placed second in the team standings behind Davison on Saturday as the Holt Tournament. In a crowded day of tough competition twelve Mules earned places on the awards podium.

Mitchel Rogaliner, Logan Rimmer, and Brandon Sunday were champions. Bryan Smith finished second. Nate Stevens came in third. Al Regnier and Tyler Rogaliner came in fourth. Taking fifth spots were Bryce Davis and Johnathan Prajzner. Trent Turshon came in sixth. Mitchell Pawlak earned a seventh place finish. Ethan Crawford came in eighth.

The top five team scores were Davison 293, Bedford 269, Oxford 250.5, Portage Central 187.5 and Holt 165.

Bedford Defeats Saline and Tecumseh

The Mules defeated both Saline and Tecumesh in SEC league competition Wednesday night.  The Mules started the night with the Saline Hornets and defeated Saline 51 to 12. Moving to Tecumseh, ranked #3 in D2, Bedford came out on top with a final score of 38 to 22. Take a look at the pictures here.

Saline beat Adrian 45 to 28. Tecumseh beat Adrian 44-17.

The Mules are on the road to the Holt Tournament. Some of the teams expected to attend are Oxford, Adrian, Davidson, East Kentwood, Ferndale, Howell, Midland, Novi, Portage North and Central, Swartz Creek, Walled Lake Central and Princeton.

DCC Super Dual Results

Bedford goes two and two at DCC Super Duals.

DCC 52 – Bedford 17
Bedford 48 – Clarktson 12
St. John’s 56 –  Bedford 18
Bedford 30 – Richmond 26

Here’s a favorite moment of the day. After being down 26 to 5 Bedford rattles off six straight wins to beat defending D3 State Champion, Richmond, 30 to 26.  Watch the video…

Bedford Dominates Ypsilanti Lincoln Quad

Bedford took on Ypsilanti Lincoln first during Wednesday night’s quad. Mules beat the Railsplitters 71 to 6. Up next the Mules took on Pioneer and ended the night with a shut out. Final score 72 to 0.

Mules Win Sheriff’s Tournament


The Kicking Mules captured the title at the Monroe Sheriff’s tournament on Saturday. The Mules racked up 291.5 points to win the First Place Trophy. Dundee came in second with 267.5, Ida took 3rd with 169.5, New Boston Huron took 4th at 163.5 points and Monroe came in 5th with 153.5.

The Mules had 8 wrestlers in the finals with Mitchel Rogaliner, Mitch Pawlak, Brandon Sunday, Bryan Smith, and Logan Rimmer emerging as champions. Tyler Rogaliner, Nate Stevens, and Jon Prajzner took second. (That’s EIGHT in the finals if you’re counting.) Taking third were Trent Turshon and David Lijewski. Fourth places were earned by Al Regnier, Ben Beallas, and Bryce Davis. Jacob Lohr took fifth.

Congratulations MULES!! It was a great day.

JV Wins Southgate Anderson JV Classic

Congratulations to the Kicking Mule Junior Varsity. They traveled to Southgate Anderson and brought home the hardware!  The Mules won the tournament with 231 points. Lincoln Park came in second at 191 points and Melvindale took third with 171.

Mule Champions were Cam Fornwald, Jacob Helminski, Tim Winkelman, Chaise Boehmer, Ethan Crawford, Dallas Winkelman, Codie Bettencourt and Adam Ortman! (That’s eight champions if  you’re counting!) Ryan Cannon took second. Trent Allison, Jordan Snyder and Dakotah Hudson all took third. Jacob Raker took fifth.

Senior Night Quad – Bedford Defeats Monroe & Dexter


Another great night for Bedford Wrestling as we honored our Senior Class and all of our wonderful Wrestling parents. The boys gave us all something to cheer about as they defeated Monroe 54 to 15 and then went on to top Dexter 67 to 4.

The night was filled with proud parents and a few tears from Senior parents. Four years goes by fast! Peruse the Senior Night Booklet to see how much our kids have grown.
