Team States Details

For Fans Details are RIGHT HERE for Team States. But it’s simple, be in the stands in Battle Creek, wear red, CHEER YOUR LUNGS OUT!  Here are the brackets. We face Hartland on Friday at 5:30 in the Kellogg Arena.

Attention families of wrestlers the Itinerary (when we leave, weekend schedule), the hotel assignments, and the transportation assignments are on the TEAM ONLY portion of the site. You need a password to get in. Please email bedfordwrestling@gmail.com if you forget the password. The team is leaving by bus late Friday morning but the bus is NOT bringing them home. If YOU are make sure you contact Coach. Otherwise they’ve been assigned a vehicle. The MORE parents who can transport their kids home the better for the families who’ve generously agreed to car pool at the event.

IF your son is headed to Battle Creek you will want to look at the information. He will also be provided a packet at practice today but feel free to print what you need from the site.

The Super Six

Six Bedford Wrestlers ran the gauntlet that is Individual Regionals and came through victorious. To muscle through the last challenge on the way to The Palace a wrestler must win two matches and achieve a top four finish.

Mitchel Rogaliner (112) again led the way with a championship finish. Rogaliner came in first and will make his third appearance at The Palace for this groundbreaking Junior and team Captain.

Mitchell Pawlak (119) showed up ready to rumble! Pawlak finished second,  he waded through brutal competition and wore the Bedford Red with pride. This junior wrestled with explosive power Saturday

Al Regnier (140) pushed through a tough field as well. A first round loss didn’t slow him down –  instead it fueled him to to three tough as nails wins. This Senior and Team Captain finished third with his now trademark fist pump!

Brandon Sunday (189) was also sporting Bedford Red and it blinded his competitors. This junior is a rock solid powerhouse who has only begun to fight!

Bryan Smith (215) was fearsome and unstoppable at Regionals.  This Senior pummeled the competition with the Bedford Red On His Head! Not much can be done when the Smith Train leaves the station!

Logan Rimmer (285) did what Logan Rimmer is known for, win! This Senior Captain climbed to the the top of a big mountain and is headed back to The Palace.

We’re so proud of these Super Six as they represent Bedford in the Individual State Tournament at The Palace of Auburn Hills.

And to Tyler Rogaliner, Jacob Lohr, David Lijewski, and Jon Prajzner, we are equally proud of you and your incredible grit today and all season. Though it is the Individual Regional you are the epitome of TEAM!

And a thank you to Gary Williams, because of his selfless dedication we have these professional action photos to chronicle this Road to the Palace. (click to see the photos)

Battle Creek Bound!

It was an incredible night for Bedford Wrestling at the MHSAA Team Regional. Southgate beat Saline so it was the Mules vs. the Titans.  The Kicking Mules resoundingly defeated Southgate Anderson 53 to 13.

Now the Mules are headed to Battle Creek to compete in the MHSAA Team State Tournament!! We’re so proud of the team. More coverage here Thursday of the Mules as they head to STATES!!!

Individual Districts Saturday

It’s a busy weekend for the Mules as we head into Individual Districts. Please take a look at the schedule. We hope to see ALL the families and fans on Saturday.

Friday: The team will be setting up the gymnasium after practice at 5:30 pm. We also need a few Spirit Club parents to meet at the same time to help set up the food areas and the coach’s room.

Saturday: Weigh ins are at 8:00 a.m. at BHS. PARENTS this is important. Please bring food items by 8 a.m. The boys will want to eat right after weigh ins.  There must be items available for them at that time. ALSO remember to bring double your assigned food. We are responsible for feeding the coaches and the referees. There will be 14 teams with several coaches  each.

Spirit Wear: We are not allowed to sell our spirit wear at an MHSAA event. There will be items from MHSAA on sale. Please offer to help Rich Allison throughout the day. He has volunteered to sell the MHSAA gear and deserves a few breaks!

Wrestling: We start at 119 pounds at 9 a.m.

To Our Wrestlers - Spirit Club wishes you all the best as you compete on Saturday. We are proud of you and how you have represented the Kicking Mules all season. We will be cheering for each of you as you pursue your goals at Individuals.

GO MULES!
