The Bedford Kicking Mule Wrestling team did something not easily done in a program filled with records. The team pinned every opponent they faced against Zeeland East. The team traveled to Holland for the sixteen team Holland Duals Tournament on Saturday, December 19th. The Mules were matched with a new team fielded by Zeeland. There were 13 falls and one void at 140. Bedford fell just short of the most possible pins in a dual meet. However the 84 to 0 score started the day off on a great note for the kicking Mules.
The Mules went on to face West Ottawa and emerged victorious with a score of 42 to 20. Then the team faced Reeths Puffer and won that contest 58 to 12.
In the semi final round Bedford faced #1 ranked Hartland and lost 45 to 24. That put the Mules up against St. Johns where they lost 38 to 26. Senior Mason Cole lead a very young Mule team to a fourth place showing in a tough field of state powerhouse teams. Mason Cole and P.J. Stevens were 5-0 for the day. Brian Gibbs, Tanner Duvall, and Mitch Rogaliner were 4-1.
