Lambertville, MI, May 17, 2009 - Wrestlers looking to hone their skills over the summer are invited to sign up for Forge Wrestling Camp. The intense two day commuter camp, which will run June 17 and 18, 2009, is designed for middle school and high school wrestlers ready to take their mat skills to the next level. Last year six attendees went on to place in the state tournament.

The staff of Forge Wrestling Camp includes an impressive line up of college and high school coaches. Penn State Assistant Coach Matt Dernlan and Ashland University Head Coach Tim Dernlan will be on the mat with the wrestlers. Both were successful college wrestlers and 3x Ohio state champions.  As coaches at top collegiate wrestling programs, they have a wealth of knowledge to share with developing wrestlers. The camp will also feature local guest clinician Dennis Brighton, Bedford’s varsity wrestling coach and himself an NCAA Runner-up, and guest speaker William Regnier, former Bedford wrestling coach and National Wrestling Hall of Fame Member.

At Forge Wrestling Camp, wrestlers will receive advanced instruction on successful techniques and training methods. The all-day training sessions will help young wrestlers develop the skills to become champions.

Forge Wrestling Camp runs June 17 and 18th on the campus of Bedford High School in Temperance, Michigan. The cost of the camp is $85. A team discount of $15 per person is available for teams bringing five or more wrestlers. Bedford Wresters qualify for the team discount and can send $70 individually.

Sign  up by June 10, 2009. Applications are available on-line by clicking 2nd Annual Forge Wrestling Camp.
